Bushnell Legend™ Ultra-HD Binoculars

The Legend Ultra-HD Binoculars are quite possibly the best binocular system ever made in this class of optics. This pair of binoculars has three key ingredients that make it so: ED (Extra-low Dispersion) Prime Glass which produces a color tuned, high resolution image; Ultra Wide-Band Custom Coating which produces the brightest possible light by coating each lens individually to maximize available light; and RainGuard HD – Bushnell’s patented permanent water-repellant coating. In addition, RainGuard HD also boosts light transmission while ensuring foul weather or your own breath will never cost you a view. The Legend Ultra-HD also has an extremely wide field of view to easily view moving animals or objects. In addition, it is lightweight with a slimmer, lighter, tougher body design. The weight of the binoculars has been cut by adding a magnesium chassis, while comfort has been enhanced with soft-touch grip accents on the rubber-armored housing. As a bonus, the Legend Ultra-HD comes with a Deluxe Binocular Harness and premium case with microfiber cleaning cloth.

Rainguard® HD: A wet lens or a misguided breath that would fog conventional glass will never cost you a view. This patented, permanent, water-repellent coating causes moisture from rain, snow, sleet or condensation to bead up and scatter less light so you get a clear, bright view when other optics would be rendered useless.

Lens coating: An uncoated lens will reflect about 10% of the light that attempts to pass through it. Magnify that by as many as ten internal lenses and uncoated optics will produce a very dim image in even the brightest situation. A lens coating can reduce reflection to as little as 4%, and sophisticated multi-layered coating to as little as 2%. So, if properly applied, the more anti-reflection coating applied to more exposed lens surfaces the better and brighter the final image will be. All Elite® binoculars are fully multi-coated with XTR, which means every lens surface is treated with multiple layers of special anti-reflection coating for the brightest image possible, allowing 99.73% of the light to products and services through.

Ultra Wide Band Coating: An anti-reflection coating process that is customized for every lens element in the optical path, in order to allow the best possible light from the front glass all the way back to the eyepiece. The result is optimum brightness and true color across the light spectrum.

ED Prime Glass: ED Prime Extra-Low Dispersion fluorite glass delivers amazing color resolution and contrast, and virtually eliminates chromatic aberration and color-fringing to bring out the most distinct details possible in low light conditions.
